Red and Mike are residential demons in the depths of Hell. Notorious for screwing things up and making more enemies than friends. What happens once Satan gets badly burned out, needs a vacation, and puts these two mindless fools in charge?
What is it?
It Can’t Get Worse Than This is a collaborative comic started by me and my brother (Michael “Twitchy” Cook) in 2022.
The two characters (based on ourselves) live through a series of one-off comedic episodes as they explore their relationship dynamic and the events which encircle their “once in an after-life” circumstances. As the story continues…there might be more to them than meets the eye.
It serves as a major love letter to our bond as siblings and is one of the many stories we craft together as an unstoppable creative force.

Meet our characters!
Red is a distractible high energy demon with more than a few screws loose. They have a big heart, despite being forced to promote sinning and general evilness. He loves to talk to people (and hear his voice in general) and is a bit of a party animal. His favorite hobby is pestering Mike till he implodes.
Mike is a grouchy demon constantly forced into the position of level-headedness and logic to counter his best friend’s chaotic antics. He enjoys his alone time and would rather sit at home rewatching his favorite shows then being out and about. He’s a bit of a loser, but we love him anyways.
